WILLEMSTAD — Curaçao has achieved a ten percent increase in stayover visitor arrivals during the first eight months of the year, approaching the 580,000-visitor threshold.
According to Curaçao Tourism, the island has reached a significant milestone in its tourism performance. The ten percent growth reflects a substantial rise in the number of stayover visitors—guests who remain on the island for at least one night—compared to the corresponding period in the previous year.
The tourism sector constitutes a major component of Curaçao’s economy. The increase in stayover visitor numbers carries implications for employment, hotel occupancy rates, and related service industries across the island.
Curaçao Tourism has not provided additional information regarding the geographic origin of visitors, monthly distribution patterns, or projected year-end figures.
