WILLEMSTAD — FIFA has suspended Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes for ten matches in connection with the brawl that erupted following the World Cup final against Spain. The disciplinary action represents part of a broader set of sanctions imposed by world football’s governing body against the Argentine Football Association and players involved in the incident.

According to available sources, FIFA has not limited its response to Paredes alone. Additional Argentine players and staff members have received suspensions totaling twenty-one matches collectively. The Argentine Football Association has also been fined 270,000 dollars.

The altercation occurred in the aftermath of the World Cup final match. According to reports, at least four players and one team official from Argentina were involved in the incident. Roma defender Alejandro Molina also received a suspension for his participation in the brawl.
